Performance report 2023

We continue to work on realizing our mission, although for security reasons we need to be careful in disclosing detailed information about our activities in 2023. Most of the implemented projects involve sensitive information about the preservation of museum collections. We are grateful to international organizations for their support, which allows us to successfully carry out our work by providing them with regular reports.

Our main partners this year were the international organizations ALIPH foundation, Cultural Emergency Response, UNESCO, and World Monument Fund.Among the main results of this year:

• With the support of ALIPH, we brought 21 EcoFlow Delta Pro 3600 charging stations, 34 EcoFlow Delta Max 2000 charging stations, and 30 Jackery stations to 85 cultural institutions in Ukraine.

• Also, with the support of ALIPH, we managed to apply 3143 square meters of armored film in the following cultural institutions in Odesa:

2. Odesa Museum of History and Local Lore, (3 buildings: Odesa Historical Museum, Museum “Steppe Ukraine”, Museum of the Heroic Defense of Odesa)

5. Hrushevsky Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library

6. Odesa State Music College named after P.S. Stolyarsky

7. Odesa Archaeological Museum

Within the framework of the UNESCO project “Preservation of Cultural Heritage in Ukraine:

Strengthening Monitoring, Emergency Response and Preparedness at Damaged Cultural and Natural Heritage Sites in Ukraine, including the World Heritage Site of the Historic Center of Odesa” funded by Japan, the Museum for Change team facilitated the following:

• Protection of roof windows in the House of Scientists.

• Installation of armored film and OSB boards in the House of Scientists.

• Installation of armored film in the Museum of Western and Eastern Art.

• Preparation of technical inspection reports for 4 monuments that were damaged in July 2022 and other activities.

In partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy and with the financial support of UNESCO, we helped four national museums that were damaged by a missile on October 10, 2022, namely:

4. National Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

IN TOTAL, THE MUSEUMS RECEIVED 24 DIFFERENT TYPES OF EQUIPMENT FOR A TOTAL OF UAH 3.7 MILLION.

With the support of Cultural Emergency Response, to improve the safety of collections and staff in case of fire, we recharged existing fire extinguishers and purchased new fire extinguishers for the following cultural institutions in southern Ukraine

Cultural Emergency Response has allocated more than 15,000 euros for fireproofing the roofs of the following cultural institutions in Odesa and Izmail:
