CER Conference in Lviv
Cultural Emergency Response
The team from NGO “Museum for Change” has returned from a five-day conference organized by Cultural Emergency Response (CER), held in Lviv (June 2025). The event brought together representatives of regional Cultural Hubs from the Caribbean, Guatemala, the Western Balkans, Lebanon (online), and Ukraine.
Cultural Emergency Response
Cultural Emergency Response is an international non-governmental organization that provides rapid assistance to cultural heritage at risk or affected by conflict or natural disasters. Working in close cooperation with local communities, CER offers swift financial and expert support for risk assessment, stabilization, and early recovery of heritage sites.
The conference focused on crisis management in the cultural sector and strategies for addressing psychological trauma caused by emergencies.
It featured a series of specialized lectures delivered by experts, including a keynote by the Director of Cultural Emergency Response, who shared the organization’s strategic vision for supporting Ukraine’s cultural heritage and the development of cultural hubs.
We also had a great opportunity to present our work from 2024 and share our ideas and plans for the future!
We are truly grateful to CER for this incredible experience and the opportunity to exchange insights with colleagues from Ukraine and around the world.
